2009-2011 Branch Leadership
Branch History“The Houston branch of American Association of University Women was organized in April, 1937, with 12 charter members. It was decided at the charter meeting to hold regular monthly meetings from September through May; and, on advice from National which had organized in Boston, Massachusetts in 1881, to accept only national members in the Houston Branch. Lois Kemper was elected the first president. In the beginning, each president served only one year, 1937-38, but starting with the 1943-45 term, Opal White served two years.” >> more history Contact/Join This BranchFor more information on AAUW Houston, contact Jill Harmuth, Karen McKibben Morris, Debra Campbell, or Margo Johnson.
